Story
Norman was the son of Alfred Pickersgill and Mary Eleanor Batty. He was a Colliery Screener before the War, and after serving in the Royal Marines Medical Unit during the First World War, he returned to Kippax to marry Ethel Frobisher on 2nd August 1920. The couple had three children in Kippax: Vera in 1921, Sylvia in 1925 and Alfred in 1935. They were living at 32 Sandgate Terrace in 1939. Norman passed away on 20th November 1955, whilst Ethel passed away 11th June 1981.
