Story
Minnie was the daughter of John Cripwell (1851-1940) and Matilda Clayton (1853-1932) of Butt Hill (pictured below at their diamond wedding anniversary).
Minnie married Wilfred Garton, who also enlisted in the Army, after the War on 31st January 1920, at the Kippax Primitive Methodist church. The couple had two daughters: Muriel in 1922 and Phyllis in 1933. Minnie passed away in Kippax in 1962.
