Story
Laura was born in Kippax, the daughter of Meshack Henshaw and Jane Revis. She had a daughter Kathleen born out of wedlock in 1914, before she married a serving soldier, Robert Halifax, on 19th January 1918 in Kippax. On her marriage certificate, Laura stated she was a munitions worker.
Laura and Robert had two further daughters, although one died in infancy. After their wedding, the couple re-located to Spalding, Lincolnshire, which was where Robert was born, but when Laura passed away in 1933, she was buried in Kippax. Both Laura’s parents were still alive at the time.
